Primary Learners

Primary Learners is our intervention service for school aged children with developmental disorders and/or challenging behaviour between 6 and 12 years of age. The aim of this program is to teach functional communication, basic social skills, classroom skills, lesuire skills and adaptive skills to maximise your child’s independence. This program is suitable for children who require further services beyond early intervention programs or have not accessed early intervention services.

These services typically involve:

  • an initial school observation
  • design of a individualised program for your child
  • 2-40 hours of therapist-supported intervention per week at school and/or home
  • individualised parent support services
  • individualised support for school staff
